Compleat Female Stage Beauty marks Ruth's first stage appearance since moving to Australia in 2010. In her native UK, Ruth appeared in several musical productions, including Little Shop of Horrors, Sweeney Todd, Calamity Jane, Oh! What a Lovely War, and Half a Sixpence.

Ruth additionally played the role of the mysterious wife in an amateur production of Luigi Pirandello's Absolutely! (Perhaps).
