Penni Hamilton-Smith is enjoying her first production for The Stirling Players as Edna Fuller, the Groom’s mother. She is most recently  known for her roles as Dot Dash in Well Shut My Mouth and Edith in Rules for Living for the Adelaide Rep.  Penni played Frau Blucher in the award winning Best Musical, Young Frankenstein, a Marie Clarke production. She also joined the cast of Matt Byrne’s The Full Monty, in which she played Jeanette Burmeister. Penni studied acting at Theatre ’62 with John Edmund and at the Olde King’s Music Hall with Barry Egginton in the 60’s and 70’s. She is a member of the Board of the Adelaide Repertory Theatre. She is a proud member of the Rotary Club of Mt Barker, an Authorised Marriage Celebrant and a Justice of the Peace.  She lives in rural Mt Barker in the Waterford Estate and shares her life with her fiancé and a large family. She credits the success of Celebration to director Patsy Thomas who has made a huge contribution to Adelaide’s Community Theatre.
