Dave Simms is well regarded in Adelaide as both an actor and director.

This is Dave's fourth production for The Stirling Players after directing our best-selling show Lady in the Van in 2013, multi award-winning The Beaux’ Stratagem in 2015 and Variation on a Theme in 2016.

Dave was director of award-winning productions of All My Sons and Dinner for Adelaide Repertory Theatre.  At St Jude's Players he was at the artistic helm of Einstein and the Polar Bear, Secret Bridesmaid's Businessand Breezeblock Park.

Dave has played lead roles in Educating Rita, Torch Song Trilogy, Rabbit Hole,The History Boys and Feelgood for Mixed Salad Productions .He also directed their productions of Two Gentlemen of Verona, Out in the Open and Lips Together Teeth Apart.

More recently Dave launched Blue Sky Theatre Productions, directing and adapting Sense and Sensibility and The School for Scandal for performance in significant gardens in Adelaide and beyond. Cyrano de Bergerac is Blue Sky's next summer venture.
