Louis Nowra's Australian classic

COSI

Directed by Megan Dansie

In the burnt-out theatre of a psychiatric hospital in the 1970s, Lewis, a young director, takes on Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte with a group of patients with no stage experience, but plenty to say.

They challenge Lewis on everything: the opera’s themes, the Vietnam War, even his personal life, and he struggles to keep control. But as he hears their stories, and sees them spreading their wings, he begins to see things, and his cast, in a new light.

Based on Louis Nowra’s own experience, COSI is a very funny and moving tribute to theatre and the  healing power of performance.

You’d be mad to miss it!
